i got the console today from amazon (after returned my old move 320GB slim ps3)..
ok.. . they are right the sliding disc tray looks kind of cheap.. but other than that.. i don't have any complaint about the system.
**well.. 500GB system on the box.. but the amount available to me out of the box is only 412GB out of 465GB?? :?
use less energy, smaller, lighter and quiter than the previous one i have..
let see how it will fair after being used for 7-10hours of gaming..
***UPDATE***
ok.. nvm.. The SLIM (my 320GB Move bundle) is more quite than this one..

the newer ps3. is smaller, lighter and use only 190W of power. the ps3 i have before this one (slim 320GB).. i think use 240 or 250W..

Just wondering. I like the non tray, (can't think of the name) where it just slides in. Seems to me the tray can break. The tray on my x-box sounds so loud and annoying when I open it.

the fat and the slim have the same disc type..
just the slimmer that has the sliding disc cover..
and .. well.. it's not quite..
i take it back.. the slimmer is not quiter.. the slim is quiter than this one.. well. giving that the disc drive is now only cover by a piece of plastic that sliding left and right instead of in the middle like previous ps3s..

Turn up the volume or use headset. ![]()
