Re: The Real Cost Of PlayStation Plus --- Year 1

Jul 28, 2010

Yeah, I'm sticking with my Netflix. I downloaded and looked at that Hulu and wasn't impressed for $9.99 a month and took them about a week to send my an invite. What is the deal with that? The whole time I was under the impression that it was at-least a month free trial. Deleted it right after I got the invite.  I was thinking that it was just some deal Hulu got through at Sony and trying out some marketing ploy.  Anyhow, I didn't spend too much time researching it.  Once I saw $9.99 a month I hit delete. No need to take up precious HDD space.  Netflix is fine as far as I am concerned.

Gotta pay to play. I have ZERO sympathy for those who are broke. Fix it, get a better job or whatever. People on a budget, too bad soo sad. You should have planned out your life better. I retired before I was 40 and now I just goof off every single day, budget, smudget, I got enough cash to burn the rest of my life. I made sure I would be taken care of. If you didn't, it's no ones fault but your own.

OP EDITED:
Added new items available in the Store and updated the totals.
Actually it is only one item.
By the way, in case you are unaware, the release schedule for new PlayStation Plus content has been changed to being by-weekly.  Next week is the next official release, however, evidenced by this weeks item, some content will be released outside of the designated day.  Also, we now are being told of the highlights of each weeks release one week in advance, so I will begin listing those too.

If anyone reads this, I'll likely go with the table above as it looks now for Discounts and edit out what isn't needed for all the other sections.  I worked on this all night so I have to go to sleep, now that the sun is up, with it unfinished.  I'll try to convert the whole thread tomorrow to a tabled format.

Also, if you're wondering about the table below, I first tried out two different tables and went with the one above.  Since these forums use a very bad WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, most of the HTML code used for table creation is incompatible with these forums.  As such, the borders of a standard table like the one below are really difficult to see.  Even the borders in table above is difficult to see, but hopefully it is easier the way it is laid out.

Finally, feel free to shout out that you see this if you've actually bothered to read this thread lately.  :smileytongue:

WOAH!!!

Someone actually checks my thread regularly???  I was beginning to think this thread was only being visited more than once by me, myself, and I.

Summers over and classes started up.  Life moves on not everything can stay the same pace all the time.  I'm trying to edit the whole thread over to the tabled format found in the post above yours.  But this site SUCKS when it comes to using HTML.  Once I migrate the whole dang thing it should be quick and easy to add new stuff every week.

Oh and how do you like it (the table in the post above yours)?  Is it too difficult to read?  There are very little options I have to properly space and format the cells.  I hope it is still quite legible, informative, and gives everybody what they ever need and have asked for (asked for read as: "But what's it cost" and such).

Clearly it's taking me longer than the day or two I hoped it would take.  I just edited the OP with a VERY TERRIBLY and VERY QUICKLY done Month 3 weeks one and two, since the sale prices should be ending late today for some of the items and I wanted to make sure they were included.
