I tested it. You are correct. If you try to go to the Playstation Store during this maintenance, you can't exit using the circle button. You have to turn off your system to exit the Playstation Store during this maintenance. So don't go to the Playstation Store until this maintenance is over, you can't go into the Playstation Store until the mainenance is over anyway.

I have the same problem... I think someone at Maintenance needs to be fired... they have completley messed up this time.

This happens a lot, I always figured it was on my end. Misery really does love company.

Did you hold the PS button unit the 4 options Come up? I'm not sure if this works or not but my wife is watching TV so I can't test it out.

This is an issue with people trying to download a lot of things off the PSN while at the same time they have to keep SOME servers running, as in a staggered setup, so that people in certain areas can still download while Sony performs routine maintenance and updates the Store.

Everyone should know by now how this works.... this is the result of impatience and not Sony's part.

They have the maintenance schedule posted so don't act surprised why things are a bit sluggish or your PS3's are freezing and need to be restarted.
