turtle beach p21 is good, but only has simulated surround sound, but for ~$75, not bad. tritton ax pro has true surround sound (4 speakers for each ear piece), and at ~$160 is a bargain. sennheiser's are quality, but you will pay over $200 to get the good ones. before purchasing any of these, however, if possible, try them on before purchase! some people love the tritons fit, others hate it, some like turtle beach, others don't.

Tritton AX Pro.
Best headset, hands down.
The AX pros have HORRIBLE sound quality. They are very muddy and muffled sounding. I bought a pair a couple of months back and returned them a few days later.

I got a question for you? I have a surround sound system but I am looking for a headset, how do you link up your tv to your ps3? Or do you bypass thru your surround sound unit?

I just ordered my pair of Turtle Beach PX21. I'll let you guys know what I think! I was planning on buying a surround sound system, but I'm very short on cash. So this is my last resort. But I'm really excited either way

Although Turtle Beach are great headphones for xbox, I do not like them for playstation. I think the px21's are terrible. I don't like the fit on your head. I really don't like the huge volume box that weighs entirely too much. The volume buttons are way to touchy. If the volume happens to swipe my leg at all then the volume would be adjusted all the way down or all the way up. I had the turtle beach x11 for xbox and they are fantastic but not for playstation. If you are willing to spend 250 then the px 5's look amazing, but they are a little too much for headphones for me.

Astro A30 wireless system is for me but if you wanna stick with sony then get the Sony MDR-DS6500 wireless surround sound headphones. They do not have a mic but will sell for $300 around may 30th 2011. You can check them out on the sony website.
I am going to get some Astro A40 headphones probably this summer and then get the Sony MDR-DS6500 at the end of the year, so I will be in headphone heaven. You guys can keep your Trittons and Turtle Beach headphones they are good but not on par with Astro's headphones. Trittons Axpro are not comfortable and the Turtle Beach headphones have average build quality at best and most of their products hissss a lot. The PX5 look very nice but ign's review tell a different story.

This guy is right about the audio control and fitting...but the sound quality is very good. Explosions, shooting, and even music sound amazing through these. I recommend them, plus they're 80 instead of 400 like some
