Okay so, A few days ago I moved some video files from my PC to Vita using the content manager and such. I double checked that they were on, and even watched a few of them. I then went to transfer files from the PS vita to my PS3, and it said there were no files to be found. Thinking maybe the files just werent compatible I unplugged and decided to just watch them on that, but now they're not on the vita at all.

I didn't plug the vita into anything but the wall socket between the file transfer from the PC and the attempted transfer to the PS3, I know I didn't accidently delete them or anything.

Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the videos were on an external hard drive that sort of went dead yesterday, and I'm wondering if they really are gone, if theres any way to salvage them, etc...Or even just figuring out what happened so I can prevent it in the future.

if it's anything like external/flash drive, go to video and highlight device then press triangle then display all.
