And that is exactly why you should mention your case to http://www.ftc.gov/

It is a simple process to report (here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en ) your issue and they exist to protect you exactly against such behaviours. No idea why you should hesitate.

Update:

Thanks to T_M's efforts and help the code worked today, somehow lol. They must have re-activated the code or something. I am going to tear into Infamous later tonight.
