Just done it once again. My 27th Platinum marks the occasion of a returned effort toward actually trying for the Platinum on Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time for the first time. This involved a couple of extra playthroughs beyond the first that was initially done in 2009. But, it was fun revisiting the game again.
That's not to say there weren't concerns, such as getting the trophy for My Blaster Runs Hot: The Game. It's not an impossible trophy to achieve, but a pain nonetheless. One tip I've noticed is that if you run up to those circular robots (the ones that you start out with in the first stage) and touch them, they'll receive damage for that.

The third time's the charm, as they say. That's how many times it's taken me to finish Deus Ex: Human Revolution and to unlock the Platinum. For my 28th Platinum, I've had to unlock a rather difficult trophy for Foxiest of the Hounds. The problem is that it's hard to tell what will affect this trophy throughout the game, or whether you've been affected or not. The trophy doesn't unlock until you go throughout the entire game being unseen or not having any alarms go off during the whole campaign. And then there are times when danger is unavoidable from non-boss characters.
Luckily, I managed to sort through each situation with enough care and attention as to diffuse each situation properly. This of course meant having to skip out on many of the side missions throughout the game, ones that meant having to kill someone or do something that would call attention to yourself.

Platinum #29 has finally been unlocked. With a whole slew of challenges to complete, the Platinum for Saints Row: The Third is certainly obtainable although not all that simple.
Whether surfing on cars or trying to eliminate 50 specialists, the game involves tons of leveling every which way. And one of those most annoying things is your inability to run over fallen street lights. You have swarms of enemies all around you raining bullets, and with health so low and a giant brute closing in, all you want to is run away to regain some health. And the only thing stopping you is that pesky bar that you need to hop over.

For Platinum #30 I beat Jak II a second time. This is by far the toughest of the Jak games. Navigating through the narrow passageways of the city and dealing with somewhat unfair odds at times, the mission structures are highly annoying much of the time. Once through though, I'm always relieved to say after the twentieth or thirtieth time I did the same thing in a row that it's over with.
If things continue to run in the same direction, it looks like I might be able to get through Jak 3 before moving onto other game projects.

Platinum #31 has arrived with Jak 3. Once again, playing this game had its frustrating moments. Going through all of these trial and error moments in terms of racing, shooting, and coming under attack... there's been quite a few times I didn't think I'd make it (even though I had already beaten the game once before). But, lots of rinse and repeat makes for one more on the pile.
