When did all of this 'Sharing' become necessary?

46 replies 431 views Edited Feb 7, 2014

I am NOT a so-called GAMER.  I did not buy my my Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, consoles with the intention of being part Sony's attempt to create videogame 'social network'.  What I do on my consoles is NO ONES BUSINESS.  So why does Sony feel they have the right to broadcast my program activity to this 'community'?   When I purchase my Playstation 4, I will avoid this 'social experiment', like the plague it is.

You don't even own the console and you're already complaining.

So your sharing your thoughts on sharing that you don't want to share. Wait a second something is wrong...

I can't wait until the ps4 tells my friends when I am using the bathroom so they won't send me messages while I am gone

Go right ahead. Nobody said you had to in the first place.

It's not exactly an experiment. Heard of twitch? YouTube? Its fun/profitable to share your gaming footage....well, unless you suck.

Besides, it's not like it's mandatory

It's NOT necessary otherwise you'd be forced to share all of your gaming activities.  It's just an option they give you and you can decide to accept or deny.
