Why did you buy your PS4 early in its life cycle?

37 replies 398 views Edited Apr 17, 2014

We are all getting tired of all these threads about regretting to buy the PS4 at launch or close to it. Complaints boil down to only being the lack of games and features that I'm sure most of us with common sense surely expected to be the case.

Now to us who don't complain, what are your reasons for having a PS4 at this point?

For me, and I'm sure for a lot others as well, it's because of our trust in Sony to deliver the games we will want to play in the future. Because if you happen to not like any of the games out now (well I'm loving Infamous), then buying a PS4 and not complaining about it surely means you're trusting it and patiently waiting for the games you want to play.

Now there could be a whole bunch of reasons. What's yours?

Because.

1. I really liked Killzone: Shadow Fall and didn't want to go through the hassle of waiting. I hate waiting.

2. I thought the PS4 would be a good stove replacement. Boy, was I wrong.

3. To support Sony, I had to.

I got mine day one because:

1.) Never had a launch day console. junst never could afford it at launch.

2.) I love PlayStation

3.) I wanted to play infamous and Watchdogs

4.) I love PlayStation

5.) The console is one sexy beast.

6.) My final reason for getting it day 1 is because I LOVE PlayStation.

P.S. very disappointed at Sony for not allowing my PS4 to cook me brakefast in bed. Been struggling with that since day one, even almost returned it.

I don't regret it. I'm an idiot for buying it, I always do it and I haven't complained about the games. They are junk right now, that isn't a complaint, I was aware they were going to be junk.

I don't like anything out right now. I know one day Uncharted is coming. Well I hope so.... Especially since the other game I got it for is probably cancelled.

Don't take it personally. I clearly like different things to most people.

I dont have a lot of money to buy a lot of games at once. I wanted to buy them as they came out. Some have said wait a year then get the PS4 I will own and have played 30-40 games in that time. Now do the math times $59!  I knew what it did and what i wanted it for. Enough info is all over the internet no one should complain about what it cant do yet. they should have known at the time they purchased it.

I love my PS4 and the games i have for it. I also enjoy all games long as they are entertaining and fun. From Skylanders to Killzone Shadowfall. I have a backlog now of what i want to play on my PS4! I do have a PS3 and spend some time on it also. I love the share button and playing a game on Twitch. I am excited about many new games comming to PS4 From Destiny to Rays the Dead. I feel it's all been good and know from the games comming list posted here it's going to stay good.

Getting Older doesn't mean it's GAME OVER
It's a better idea to buy games for your PS4
Than to buy a New Console for your PS4

As a huge Killzone fan I had to get it to play Shadow Fall, if Shadow Fall wasnt a launch I would have waited. Same main reason I got the ps3. Killzone 2. As you can see I love the Killzone franchise very very very much.
