This will only fix the issue if its solder related: cold joint, short, etc. If its a bad component, HDD, or power supply this will do nothing except damage your motherboard if you aren't careful.
Is there a way to tell if it's a HDD problem?

I would like to ask someone who has done this. Did the YLOD happen again?
I did two in mid July one is still going fine the other I sold and the buyer just said it went ylod again.

i just got a new 80GB after i had insur on my 60GB which is still brand new 2 yr runin since the day it came out but my warrenty xpired and i just got 80GB with KZ2.

Hey, I have a friend who had the YLOD on his Ps3...
I am handy with fixing things up and he'll like me to fix his Ps3
Can you please tell me what screw drivers you used?
I know and have the rest of the tools. Thing is I got soo many screw drivers
