high pitched noise from ps3 D:

[ Edited ]

Hi all.

Lately when I power off my ps3, a high-pitched noise comes through the speakers... It's definitely not my speakers, because it only happens after I use the machine. Anyone know if it's a really bad sign, or nothing to really worry about? It lasts for like ten seconds then stops, but it has me worried because my ps3 is practically my whole life.

Thanks for any help!!!

It could be whatever device the speakers are connected to, you really haven't given enough information like if these are standalone speakers or if they are connected with an amplifier.

Try connecting another device to your system (other than the PS3) and see if you get the same result...

Make sure any power cables are not touching any wiring for your speakers if you are using external speakers.

Make sure your speakers are well grounded, some of them have an extra wire to ground.
