I’m not sure if I should pick up the Resident Evil HD Remake or just purchase multiple copies of The Evil Within for kicks. I have honestly had it up to here with Capcom’s foolishness over the years even if I believe that the Resident Evil Remake is one of the best survival horror video games ever made. Only time will tell if any unnecessary changes are made to it. I will give Capcom the benefit of the doubt and wish them luck.

Interesting. I'm sure the "REmake" will be well worth the purchase whenever I decide to get a PS4. Smiley Happy

I hope this is treated more of a horror game than an action game.

Have you ever played the Resident Evil Remake? It is “survival horror” to a tee. In any case, this looks like a re-mastered version of a previously remade video game so there shouldn't be too much to worry about here. It’s just depressing to think that this might be the only way that Resident Evil can return to its roots.

Awesome. It will be very very nice to play this classic once more Smiley Happy Though I hope that this time they do a better job at remastering their classics than what they did with RE: Code Veronica X & RE: 4

Now that you mention it, there could be any number of issues with this including (but not limited to) disc locked content, DLC shenanigans, pre-order nonsense, micro-transactions, or a lack of a physical copy of this video game. After all, this is the 8th generation and this is Capcom. Thank you for bringing that up, Xuchie.

It is coming to PS3, PS4, XB360, XB1, and PC, from what I've read in other places.

So no matter which console you own, everyone will finally be able to experience the GameCube "REmake" (remastered Smiley Tongue)

I've been wanting it released digitally for years now. They seriously could have just thrown it out as-is, as a PSN / XBA title. The game has aged well and is THAT good. But, this is even better news.

Of course, if anyone here has never even played the original Resident Evil for PS1, I highly recommend you still do that. Really makes you appreciate the "REmake" on GameCube even more.

@aeris_2pac

Current-Gen means "PS4 and XB1."

PS3 and 360 would be "Last gen."

But, as I said above, the remastered REmake is supposidly coming out to all platforms, including current-gen and last-gen.
