I use ... not sure, some theme with icons I like, but I use a photo for the background. (often a screenshot from my PC that I pull in via Media Server ... really a cool feature to use, Win 8 makes it too easy now.)

Lol, really windows 8?? You know it is a tablet/phone os right?

Try putting a dvd in and play it, bet you won't like windows 8 then.....

I'm using the Tails of Xillia 2 theme right now,I'll switch it later with one of the three KH themes that came with the collection.

I used to use the FF13-2 Lightning theme, but it's too bright when i play at night so i just stick with the default one. I use the white color and -5 brightness.

Holy moly. No. It really works like Windows 7 with an overlay window for/in place of the old "start" menu. Everything else is there. I use it on a desktop just fine with NO touchscreen thank you very much.

I also have it on a touchscreen laptop. Same thing, I can use it fine without touching the screen, but can use the touchscreen if I want to.

Win 8 has built-in things that are a bit more useful than Win 7, but feels like Win 7. So, as for what I said before:

Windows Key and Print Screen saves the entire desktop view as a .jpg in your Pictures/Screenshots folder. That is WAY easier and more functional than how Windows 7 and before made it.

Plus it works like a charm to get decent custom pics on lots of devices if you have a home network media share function on it. PS3 and my network are great together, so if I decide I want something special as wallpaper on my PS3, just get it in a browser and F11 then Windows+PrtSC and voila, you can pull it right into the PS3 next time you are on.

As for DVD's I put them in, or Blu-rays. They play on what I want them to play on. Windows is teachable/customizable, just like other OS varieties of Windows were/are.

Just saying all of this since you threw such disdain at my use of Win 8. It's not just a tablet phone OS. Not at all.
