Share your stories of being cheated at the casino :)

I just saw the roulette wheel hit 19 consecutive black numbers in a row. The odds of this happening are 1 in 1,464,572.

1/(18/38)^19

I'd been at the table less than three minutes. The game appeared to be correcting itself for a previously high string of red numbers (>80/19 split).

Unreal outcomes happen in all the games at Digital Leisure's casino, especially blackjack. With a five deck shoe, the odds of hitting blackjack are:

2*(4/13)*(4*5/(52*(5-1))) = 5.91%   (1 in 16.9)

The odds of hitting blackjack three times in a row is about 1 in 5,000. But at Paradise Springs, the house hits triple blackjacks every few hundred hands.

Besides myself, I've met half a dozen Home users who've watched the dealer hit at least five (1 in 1.4 million) or six (1 in 23 million) blackjacks in a row. At least one casino regular has seen the dealer hit seven blackjacks in a row. The odds?

1 in 397 million

Six or more blackjacks in a row is so uncommon that some casinos offer cash prizes for hitting it to lure in gullible players.

Whenever anyone raises this issue to Digital Leisure, their response is always, "We're sorry you had a string of bad luck."

I know I'm not the only one. Please chime in with your tales of being ripped off by Digital Leisure "bad luck."

I'm not surprised at all.

It's plain and simple: All online and electronic casinos cheat. Period!

You have the inside scoop on the Casino as well as Aurora HotChick? Do tell.

Well it's a good thing the government is trying to shut down Internet cafes and digital casinos because then they'll go after these abominations next. I hope they ban sales of playing cards too because that's just a gateway to gambling and debauchery. If the nanny state didn't tell me what to do lord knows what firey pits my life would plummet to. If I'm not controlled by someone else's standards I might have to make my own and control myself! No thank you.

Getting booted after putting in a 500 coin ante is the worst. It also seems like odds have dropped off lately. I used to be able to slowly and methodically build up enough currency to play for some of the lower odds rewards, but lately even my tried and true methods bank me out with losing streaks I wouldn't have thought possible before.

I am curious. You have been saying the casino is rigged for months and take every oppurtunity to say so, but why exactly is it that you keep going and playing the games? I mean I just avoid the places I don't like. Are you on a jihad?

I personally feel that there is favoritism involved. Each time I lose any casino type of game in Home, someone else wins. Usually one to three "favorites".

The way you play the game is the way you live your life.

My inside scoop is that I know how the business world functions.

Aurora:

I totally understand nDreams' steps on Aurora. If they'd just raised the level cap without new the new items, like the boosters and consumables that you have to buy, then they would have had lots of development costs, but absolutely no incoming revenue from it. So they HAD to offer boosters, consumables and such. You can still play for free, but it will take a long time to get to the top. If you're not having the patience, then you need to buy the boosters. Plain and simple. I would not have it done any different.

I think it is interesting to see that some people here on the board put down the new Aurora, but you can still find them on the leaderboard with over 5000 points... which is only possible if you buy all boosters and even the consumables, which they condemn in every other post.

Casinos:

Most online internet casinos are criminal illegal off-shore operations advertised through spam with the only intend to take your money. Period! If you go on their websites then you have to expect to be ripped off big time. Unfortunately there is no way to take them to court. Way too complicated, to expensive, they are not even in this country and it is way too risky and no chance to get and money out of them in whatever settlement anyway.

Home's Casino is a different story. I don't know if they cheat or not. Proving that would be incredible difficult anyway. I've also seen some suspicious streaks... So I wonder...

What I do know is that DL's support made it obvious to me that they are not interested in having me as a happy guest/customer. When the Casino was first opened the offered the golden VIP Hat and they were giving away the big casino apartment (I don't mean the tiny, little free one) along with it. A friend of mine told me that he got the apartment and so I bought the golden hat for $5. I was happy and started to decorate the new apartment. A few days later I did not have the apartment anymore. It turned out that it was an error on DL's side and that the apartment is not part of the golden VIP Hat item.

So I turned to their customer support asking why I don't have the apartment anymore and I told them that the apartment was the ONLY reason why I bought the VIP hat. $5 for a hat? The apartment must be included, right?!? They apologized, but did not want to give me the apartment back. It took me 2 weeks of daily emails to them, trying to convince them that it was not my error. Long story short: I finally got the apartment back.

The whole experience with their "support" was horrific.

What I did learn out of this was:

- The only thing they want from me is my money. They wanted me to buy chips and play in their casino and they told me that I have to "win" the 100,000 chips that are necessary to get the apartment.

- When they make an error then it is a "tough luck" for the customer and not a "oops" for the casino.

Let's put it this way: If I'd had a online toy store and I accidentally send my customer 3 toys instead of the one he purchased, then I'm also not going to his home and rip the other 2 toys out of his hands. DL's casino did that to me... and that's why I will never (!) buy anything from DL again.
