[Heavy H2O] Avalon Dragon Riders

18 replies 626 views Edited Feb 20, 2013

Has anyone bought the Heavy Water Avalon Dragons / Dragon Rider items yet? If so, what do you think? Would you recommend getting one?

I was a bit excited about them when I thought they were going to be LMO items, but I'm not sure now that I know the Dragon Rider items are Active Items instead. I'm not sure if I want to part with 16 furniture slots for these things. They are best suited for the Avalon Keep personal space, but then it's already hard enough to manage the 100 furniture slots there (particularly with the expansions).

Also, does anyone know if they give you a bonus gem boost?

I don't think they are worth it if it active items only. Was planing on getting one, but now am going to pass for 4.99 not worth the price if you can't use it beside your own personal space. Guess will have to wait one more week for new locomotion that are worth getting .

ps I think the dragon companion are worth getting if you like dragons, or want to collect everything but if not then i would pass on that too.

I think it's the counterpart of the 'Essence of the Seven Winds' active item. It's only so you can play that mini-game in every apartment.

I'm considering buying it for my club, but I'm not sure weather or not it won't conflict with the in-game of it. :/

I was wondering that as well.  Does anyone who have these know if you can "fly" (move up to the cieling) like you can with the Essence of Winds active item? Or is it just change your animation as you move along the floor of a space?

Hey guys! I do own this and I don't see any benefits, especially for the high price. No there are no bonus gems and yes, it does fly to the ceiling just like Essence items. This is JUST like the dragon you ride in Hexalon Villuage.

In that case, there may be a fun use for it.  How large is the safe volume (the area around it that turns red if you place it too close to another object, wall or ceiling?

Fun indeed... I'm loving these dragon riders now.

Although the dragon rider active item really should have given each user in the space the option to pick what color dragon they want to use instead of all the same type).  They also should have made the attack animation go forward instead of diagnol, as it makes it very hard to aim and fire at other dragons.

Any way, here are some pics of fun ways of using these dragons:

Cool pics D-Nitrate! So I'd still like to know the answer to your question, how large is the safe volume? Is it bigger or small than the essense of the seven winds active item?

The safe volume area is extremely small.  It has no larger footprint than the item itself.
