I couldn't help but notice the "and Gentlemens Club" at the bottom...

If its about Home publicity, may I ask what a Gentlemens Club has to do with it?

I was wondering the same thing.  At least here in the states, the name "Gentlemen's Club" is just another name for a Stripper Bar.

From the THP website:

"Gentlemen Club is an confederation in Playstation® Home, only for real Gentlemen, long time Home users and high classed people, to come together and discuss about the future of Home."

......Well, it looks like I'm not allowed in. :smileyindifferent:

Thank you for the posts and here comes your answer:

First of all, yes, "& Gentlemen Club" might sound a bit weird at first and we have to appology there was no further information on this.

Of course, this is not a Stripper Bar :smileywink: . The very first Gentlemens Clubs were invented in the UK, they were a spot where business men, married men and in general all kind of men from the "upper" or "middle" class came to. They played card games there, ate or drunk, had conversations and more. They used these Clubs to calm down after a long working day or to hide from their Wifes :smileyvery-happy: . It happened way later in history (and it happened first in the USA) when Stripper Bars were called Gentlemens Club aswell, while the real meaning of it more and more went away. Our Club here, the Gentlemen Club (withous the s at the end), is build on the real and first meaning of a Gentlemens Club: It's a club for all long time Home members, such who help, such who can talk in front of others, such who stand for the good things in Home, have enough experience in real life and are able to be an example to others. Real Gentlemen. There will soon be a seperate Website for it where you can find further information about it all.

Hope that helped.

Well.. to be frank, that explanation didn't help.  To associate your group with an old fashioned system designed to discriminate against women in this day and age was probably not such a great idea.  Nostalgic perhaps, but I suspect you succeeded in alienating a very significant portion of the community.

Sorry.. But the days of gentlemen are long gone.
Hence the need to define its original meaning.

Whatever you're trying to do for the community you need more than cannon fodder status for any credibility.

Way to go us, yeah! Turned a sexist organization into an EVEN MORE sexist business, high-fives all around!! Oh, wait... :smileyembarrassed:

Not to be a killjoy, and I realize you're intention is good-natured, but you're saying your club is for all long-time Home members, and then totally disqualifying a good percentage of them because they're not "gentlemen"... The lady-folk in these-here parts don't kindly to that kind of flim-flam and hoakum... :smileysurprised:

There are a few things, which have changed and we're planning to open it for Ladies aswell. The "higher class" might sound a bit rude, but that should only say what's been written in our first reply here in this thread. It's a Club for the real Home spcialists, for good people, people with experience. Only selected are able to join it. And soon, that might be women aswell :smileywink:

Wow...  I will say this for you... You certainly must have some serious cast iron cojones.

Unfortunately for you, there are women master iron workers who would likely enjoy using a blow torch to cut them off and smelt them down and forge a sword from them and use it to cut the rest of your man hood off for saying something so obviously chauvinistic.

Good luck!

PS:  I think you would have been better of saying you were a strip club.  Just saying...
