Hello,

So Uh, Recently I've been playing other games because MW2 Hasn't been working for me online. For example, (it only happens when I sign into my PS3 Account) when I stick MW2 in, the game automatically starts, then I can get halfway into the menu, and go to multiplayer, then it just blacks out then restarts and goes back to the Main Playstation Menu. And I try again, this time only faster, I can't even get halfway, and so on the faster it returns to the menu. So recently, i've been able to play online, a few days ago, and it was working perfectly fine. Now it's happening again...

I'm not sure if someone has brought up this issue, and it isn't only just me, but sorry, I didn't know. But could someone please help me?

yeah i am having the exact same problem  - why do PS3 peopole sort it out. I had this once before and then it just seemed to come right. but it was i think last time due to plaing purely by accident and i think it was hacked as everyitihing went all crazy and then i was at level 70 ..

Exactly, what is this, and ALSO my brother seems to be able to play online just fine, his account works perfectly normal...

I had this problem about two months ago.But not only with MW2, but MW and WAW also. MW3 and Blaack Ops both worked fine. After much searching (and Sony advising me my PS3 was faulty and id need to replace it) i got all THREE games to work, by putting in the port Forward settings i was sent by @ATVIAssist on twitter.

I was sent this (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DSL-2780/Call_of_Duty_-_Modern_Warfare_...). I followed the instructions, put in the details and miraculously, all three games worked online again (with just the settings for MWII)

Now i have the same problem again. I went into my router, and put in the values again, but this time, it makes no difference. I have read on other forums that a few others have been having this problem recently.

I am currently in contact with Activision Assist via facebook. They told me to try the port settings here (http://support.activision.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/I-am-getting-lag-in-Multiplayer-games) but apart from it not being a lag problem, the settings made no difference.

All i get is, if i put the game in, it automatically selects itself, i get a few seconds of the Infinity Ward logo, then it goes back to the PS3 home screen.

Someone needs to sort this!

I had this problem too. Do you have uTorrent always open on your pc? When you have uTorrent (or any other torrent dowloading program) running on your computer, it effects the ports that Call of Duty games use to connect to online. So just exit utorrent and (make sure its not running in the background with the task manager) start the game and it should work.

I click PLAY ONLINE in Multiplayer but it stays at "Connecting to matchmaking server. . ." how do you prevent this from happening?
