i've been getting error number "80710723" whenever i try to download a rented hd movie from the playstation store. i've been researching all morning and have tried all the different things people have said to try and do (disable upnp/ssdp on router, opening up certain ports, disable media server on ps3, deactivate/activate video on ps3) and nothing has worked. may anyone help me please? i thought maybe it was my connection to the store or something but i've been able to download ps3 games as well as add-ons with no problems. it just seems to be movies that will not download. they stay at 0% and i get the error message within a couple minutes. frustrating. i just want to watch fubar 2

Had the same problem. Called support and they were no help. I asked for a refund and they said it would be reviewed over 10-15 business days. What a joke. That is terrible customer support. As terrible as their website customer support. I hope you have lots of time, because they will take forever to get back to you while they hold your money hostage.

They may still be having some network hiccups, but this was being investigated the last I heard. Here's more information on your specific error:

80710723: Network Server Timeout
