I have:

the slim 120 Gb version
default HDD
My internet connection is wireless
I think I had software version 4.21 but am not sure.

I haven't been able to login to the playstation network since before the 4.25 update. I always get error 80710092.

Also, I can browse the internet fine and can play ganes fine, it just will not let me log in to the playstation network.

PS3 Slim, Don't remeber how many GB (Its Either 250 or 320). default HDD, Wirless Internet. Not sure what version i have either 

4.20 or 4.21.

My PS3 can turn on, but there is no Sound or Picture on my TV. All it says is, "No Signal". It happed when I was doing the 4.25 update and it froze when it was installing. I already emailed the technical people twice and there final solution was to send it over to them. Why should I pay $50 for somthing the update did. I was just about to buy NBA 2k13 too!

Not sure what version I updated from.

Since the 4.25 update when quitting or shutting down Madden 13 I get the double beep and then the system restarts and says it was not shutdown properly and data may be corrupted. It then takes a few minutes to check data and all seems well after this, but still afraid the memory will truly be lost with any shutdown.

I have selected the option to have issue sent to Sony each time.

Has anyone talked to the support line?  If so what did they tell you?   Have they acknowledged the issue?  Are they going to fix the unit for free?   I just paid to have my ps3 repaired in July due to faulty thermal paste (common problem with the older PS3).  I don't see myself forking over $50 due to a firmware induced problem.........

Updating from 4.21

I havent been able to finish the install process with the update. Each time i attempt to let it install, it gets stuck, or freezes not sure which, at 99%. I have attempted it 4 seperate times. I have let it sit for 8.5 hours, 1 hour 2 seperate times and currently am attempting it again and am at 20 minutes and counting. 

Each time it hasnt finished, i hold down the power button on the console for ~10 seconds to shut if off. Then when i boot it back up, it goes directly to the install process.

I have the PS3 phat model, I have 32GB/74GB free so I'm guessing I have an 80GB HD? 

Wired network and I am not able to update at all to 4.25 so I am currently still at version 4.20. We have not been able to update since the first day we noticed we had to udpate. Internet connection is fine, even check with my ISP. Like I said, can't even do the update, it freezes and times out with the error at 25%.

I have the phat 80gb and after the update and I'm using wireless internet and now when I turn on ps3 all I get is black screen and it won't turn off and the controller does nothing..just some more typical crap with the updates

I have a 120 gig ps3 slim and once i updated to 4.25 the screen freezes then unfreezes the freezes etc. and this take me like an hour to get to something that i want on the ps store. Once i start a game up thouhgt the frezzeing stops.

Slim model / 160 or 320GB (not sure but it is the default drive) / wireless internet / update from 4.21

Seemed frozen at 99% then went to 100% and shut off as if it was going to restart. Went to black screen, then shut off completely. Since then it can turn on but tv wil not recognize it. Cannot go to safe mode. Does not recognize controllers even when hooked up with USB cable, to turn it off I have to hold the power button for at least 10-15 seconds or unplug it. Called tech support and did the usual trouble shooting with no results.
