The video in previous post is the issue I was having before format.

Now it just freezes. I can get dust514 to just about load to the screen where the ship and "press start" button is.

Forcedupdates make me sad. I have to go back to work and school soon. Can't I just downgrade ?

Also, It's been 2 days. Any feedback from the feedback? Eta on solution?

120gb slim. one year old. just upgraded to firmware 4.25. Wireless connection. ISSUE: After 4.25 Update, my PS3 browser will not open . All i get is a white screen. I cannot acess the menu to watch crackle or you-tube or anything.

well, im in a bind rite now. I was about to update yesterday and happened to have my laptop running the same time and notice in forums that ppl were having bad  issues and probs with 4.25 update. as soon as i saw that cancelled the update at 6%.

.....but anyways

I have a 160GB SLIM, wired connection, currently have the 4.21(optional update) which some say was mandatory....sigh. only thing is, is the PSN and i cant sign in because it wants to update.

I want to update but scared as hell. i think im gonna pass on this update but im wondering if i install the update after 4.25 if i would corrupt anything. ppls if u are like me and want to update REMOVE your discs b4 anything. im really sorry for those who said that there new ps3s are ruined  hope they will address soon

160gb slim default hd ever since update 4.25 I updated from 4.21 I cant connect to the internet Im connected by wifi and everytime I try im hit with dns error and being told I have been logged out meanwhile everyother device connects fine please solve soon I would like to finish downloading cabin in the woods

I have a 60GB PAL version (Software BC), I updated to 4.25 from 4.20 a few days ago. No problems so far.

i have a ps3 slim 120g factory hdd when i tried to download the update 4.25 that was MANDATORY i got to 99% where it stayed for bout 5 minutes then gave me an error code 8002F310 tried the restart directions and the same thing happened agian i am sutck in a never ending loop of updating to 4.25. i have tried to update wireless and wired. what do i do.

I have a PS3 slim with 160 gb, and I use a wireless connection. I went up to 4.25 from 4.20 (I never went and looked for 4.21) . As soon as I updated 4.25, I went to play Silent Hill: Downpour and it refused to play my game. The game icon didn't even show up, and after a minute or so it made the sound like it was ejecting the disk, but it never did.

I have the old 80 GB backwards compatible PS3 unit.  After the update everything was initially working fine, but now my network connection will not work by either wired or wireless network connection after a console reboot.   I get the error message that an IP address can not be obtained.  The lights on the network slot light up on the PS3.  It's definitely not the router or my internet connection because everything else connected to it works fine.

okk. so i went ahead and did the update with the 160gb slim via storage media....and it works(knock on wood)!!. no loops, no ylod, games read as usual etc. i usually do the updates via internet but this time on a flash. all i can say that 4.20 and 4.21 were mandatory updates and 4.21 stated as optional....sigh. every update from now on for me is MANDATORY.

Just today I have been getting signed out every minute ( no its not my modem its PSN) even when I'm not signed in and on the web browser it takes forever to load up (every minute or so).

Come on DCUO had 3 "hotfixes" this weekend and now this everyday I wake up always some little problem with PS3...
