Internet Connection Problems

2 replies 124 views Edited Feb 3, 2013

I recently have been getting disconnected from PSN about every 10-20 minutes and have to shut down my PS3 and then restart it in order to connect back to PSN. This hasn't happened at all untli a few weeks ago and has been continuing since. I am using a Cisco DCP3010 modem and a Lynksis E3200 router that my PS3 is connected to via an ethernet cable. This has gotten me really confused because I have other devices that I use wirelessly that never drop connection so I don't see why my PS3 is getting disconnected when it is hardwired. I know it is not the ethernet cable because I can use that with my laptop and it never disconnects.

If anyone has any solutions please let me know. :smileyhappy:

Okay so I just tried port forwarding and I will see if the problem still persists.

Port forwarding did not solve my problem and I have found out that other devices are doing this too so do you guys think I need a new router because I just got a new modem from my ISP.
