MW2 cannot connect to matchmaking servers

When I go to play mw2, I click on play online and it goes to PLEASE WAIT... Connecting to Matchmaking Servers... After waiting for up to 20 minutes several times it still does not load. I have not had this problem before and I played and loaded everything correctly yesterday. I tried using a different PSN account and had the same problem. Please help! Any suggestions would be great!

same with black ops it is because of hurricane sandy
