Hello all,

We are aware that some of you have been experiencing issues connecting to PSN lately, mainly Time Warner subscribers in certain geographic locations.

If you are having this issue, please post below with the following details:

PSN ID:

Device tried on (PS4, PS3, Vita, etc.):

Geographic location (City/State or Country):

Name of Internet Service Provider (ISP):

Approximate Date/Time when you first started having issues:

Any additional info:

Thanks for your patience as we continue working to investigate this with the relevant parties.

I tried on PS3 for two days now.
Geographic location: Dallas Tx, US
ISP: Time Warner
1pm Friday August 15, 2014
I get a message that says "an error has occurred. You have been signed out of PSN" and beneath there is an error code.

It worked fine on Thursday, August 14.

People of Texas please read & implement the following. Follow the quoted link & post back your results

"

Change your PS3/4 internet connection setting to manual.

Use the default option for everything except when you get to DNS servers

Input any two out of these four DNS addresses for your primary and secondary entries:

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

208.67.222.222

208.67.220.220

Keep accepting defaults for the rest of the settings and you should be up and running.

The first two DNS servers listed above are run by Google.

The last two DNS servers are OpenDNS.

I think TWC doesn't have their DNS server configured properly, so without the changes above, TWC customers will likely have to wait 24 hrs after Sony updated their server IP addresses for their DNS server to expire the old IP address and pull the new ones in.

I just loaded a video to YouTube showing how to change the DNS setting on a PS3.

Just entered the DNS server addresses for Google and it connected. I guess the user above was correct. Hopefully this is a permanent fix.

PS3

Texas, U.S

TWC

-I can sign in only  sometimes but gives me the error  code (8071053D) if i click on a game, home etc.

Everything else internet related works fine, as in my laptop etc.

-On another note, i tried fixing it with the google dns (8.8.8.8) and when i signed into psn  it worked fine, but i was downloading a game last night which usually takes me about 3hrs to download......and it's STILL downloading it's been 11 hours now.

So  the google dns is fine for a quick fix... but the download speed on it is slower than my internet, i'm assuming because many others are on the google dns.
