Hey all, whenever I try to update a game, any game, it gives me an outrageous number like 2,000 minutes for a 100mb update. Rarely it results in an error code. I've done all the suggestions it gives, but overall it's mainly just the long waiting times that are bugging me. Online play works fine, but I can't update any of my games! Please help and let me know if you are having similar problems, especially today or this week so I can know if its maybe a psn problem. Thanks

i have the same problem, downloads r fine i can play black ops 2 multiplayer with no lag. but i can not update any game software. i have been having this problem for at least 3 weeks now.

dude same here i can watch netflix play games online but i am trying to download the game updates for assassins creed III and fifa 13 and it says itll take over 2000 minutes. i know it isnt my router because everything else works. it always ends in a error and quite frankly its really annoying. SONY FIX IT

Having similar problem today. Downloading 300 mb update and it's saying 231 minutes...

Just to give specifics. I had downloaded Blue Toad Ep 1 last night. Updated fine. Played it through. Deleted it today to make room for more games but decided instead to re-download Blue Toad Ep 1 since I had a friend who wanted to check it out. It downloaded fine but the update is showing @200 to 250 minutes.
Tried cancelling and restarting, turning off PS3, cycling my modem and nothing's working on my end.

That outrageous number is determine by the internet connection between your PS3 and the PSN servers. Factors that affect the connection quality are:

• Your private network setup: Make sure you are getting NAT Type 2. Run a PS3 internet connection test to find out what your NAT Type is.
• The bandwidth you are paying for.
• Your ISP's network: If your ISP network is congested your internet speed/reliability will suffer. It is xmas, lots of people/kids with new network enable toys.
• PSN servers: Again, lots of people with new PlayStation systems, updating month worth of game patches, moreover, users buying/downloadingfrom the PSN store.

same problem here....turned it on to play a game I got for Christmas, tried to do that update, and it hasn't worked since. Only games I can play are those that I have had in already. I have had this thing for about a month now....Obviously this is not isolated. What the h e l l is going on?????

It seems like this problem is getting to be pretty common, I am experiencing it, too. Updates either run up on time to download or give me error. Solution would be nice
