Question about upnp

UPNP is enabled on my router.  There is no doubt about it.  However, when I check my connection status on PS3, UPNP is not available. Is this a big deal?  This has been bugging me for a while.  Maybe it is like this for everyone?  I am clearly not the only one who talked about this.
