update to 3.01, its not a madatory update so it wont prompt you, so you gotta go find it manually.

It's nothing to do with updates or network strength, it's something on Sony's side. Mine seems to work again now though.

Tried the update, to no avail! Oddly I can go online in LBP, but no other game. I don't get it.

Give this a try.

PS3 told me sometimes the network gets confused.. Make sure you did the port forwarding or  Dmz first.

Here is a link well you can guess LOL ..   Http://portforward.com/

And here are all the ports you should need.

TCP--10070,10080,443,5223,80

UDP--10070,3478,3479,5223,3658

Step 1. Make new user on ps- Not and online Account

step 2. Log back into old user

step 3. Go into saved data utility

step 4. Hit Triangle on each game and copy each saved game to the new user account--- PS. Any game that don't copy is more likely a download from PS Network so don't worry its saved on line!!

step 5. Save game data to other account as well---- PSs. Ps3 never told me to do this but I found out that it does not travel over to different user accounts

step 6. Scroll to user accounts and delete old user that had problems inviting friend..

step 7. Log in to PS Network using the Existing Account tab that was used for the old user account.

step 8. Try to invite friends..

If you did it right it should work because it work for me!!!!!
