As for the controller not holding a charge and otherwise effing up, that sounds it might actually be the controller.  Re: the reset button, even if you are plugged in you can use the reset button.  It will kill the light bar on the controller itself.  I hope I'm understanding you correctly.  And good luck.

I had the same issues with my PS4 controllers, I just returned to Amazon, there is no solution yet for the controller connectivity issues. Also I have lot of problems connecting to the internet and PSN. 

 

The PS4 is a bunch of C.R.A.P.  The Sony guys are just experimenting with this first console, don't waste your money and wait until 2014 to get the good one. 

 

I hope the Xbox One works better than PS4 dummy console, is the worst console I ever seen!

JudsonCc, i think we ordered replacement PS4s on the same day. i recieved my email confirmation for my replacement order at 12:25 PST with an order number, and instructions to return the one i originally received by Dec 19 (30 days after my replacement request was processed) or I will be charged for shipping the replacement (which will be nothing since i'm a prime member, idk why that deadline and consequence is even noted).

 

in my orders the replacement has been added to the list:

i have my chat log with amazon support for this issue saved as well, but on my computer at work. if you want me to send you my chat log to see my interaction to get to this point Judson i'd be glad to, anything to help another gamer stuck with this issue, but it will have to wait until tomorrow morning at 9 PST.

 

i did not have to do much hounding, but i did spend a good 45 minutes with support chat explaining their policy very clearly to them (in case they were not operating in this country, which i'm almost postive my support member was not) and asking questions along the way to ensure that my ps4 was being replaced by policy ("i will receive my replacement before i have to send back the original correct?" // "will there be a return mailing slip and packaging to return my faulty unit to amazon packaged with my new device?" // etc...). it took 48 hours after the time of finishing my chat with support to receive an email from amazon and the replacement order to be added to my account. looking forward to getting down like ProfessorHate by Friday!

 

edit** my request was also processed less than a day after the policy was enacted by Amazon, as some of the support were unaware exactly how to go about this special return policy you may not have had yours completed properly. if you havent received an email after 48 hours i'd recontact support to ensure that you're on the right return policy since it has had time to spread around the employees

I didn't ever get a follow-up after the initial chat where they said they would have a specialist write to me about the replacement within 24 hours. So I called them and they took care of it after about 40 minutes on the phone.

They seem to be getting the message because now in their system is a "NOT FOR SALE - REPLACEMENT CONSOLE"...

Should arrive tomorrow. We shall see

UPDATE!, who receives the replacement console I have bad news!.. I sent mine back to Amazon, and they send me a new one right away!, and guess what... the new console has the same #FFF king problem!!, I cannot believe!.

I'm done with playstation... I throw my PS3 and PS Vita over ebay, and try to cancel and get a refund for the PSN Plus...

I'm having this problem too. Every 10-15 minutes I get hit with a massive amount of controller input lag and things like turns with the analogue stick get exaggerated. Definately not the controller's fault, I've used two different ones, and have tried two of my buddy's. Looks like a software issue to me.

FWIW, I got a replacement console via Amazon and it works fine (hence me not being around here anymore!).

 

Sorry you got hosed again zhuff, but I would urge anyone who is having this problem to get a replacement console ASAP.
