DUALSHOCK 4 issues

157 replies 5573 views Edited Nov 16, 2013

I am having issues with my controller.  Laggy button response, spammed input fom a single button press, and the controller keeps disconnecting.  Any ideas.  I will also try contacting customer support  but am having a bit of difficulty finding the phone number and an email address to report the error to.  Any kind of hep would be appreciated.

Controllers disconnecting!

Nov 16, 2013

I have two controllers experiencing the same issue.  Button presses and analog stick go haywire then controller disconnects and logs me out.  Very frustrating. I am a few feet from unit.  It is behind me in closet.  if dywall wasn't there i could touch PS4.  I replaced a PS3 in that exact spot. Any ideas?

I am having the exact same problem and right now i can't do anything with the console. I even tried reseting the PS4 back to factory but it only fixed the problem for not even 10 minutes. I really hope they can fix this with a patch. I haven't been able to get ahold of tech support to find out the problem. I'm starting to question playstations testing ability.

I'm having this exact same problem. Both of my two controllers are going haywire on input commands and then disconnecting. I talked to customer support after waiting for 2 and half hours and all she said was to reset my controllers with the hole on the back of the controller. After 10 minutes it was back to not working. This is such an annoying issue because it makes games unplayable, and it is overshadowed by so many other issues that other people are having. If you guys find out ANYTHING let me know, and I will do the same.

It sounds like your controller is busted. The number for Sony is (800) 345-SONY but they're open from 6:00AM to 10:00PM Pacific time. I hope you get this issue resolved :smileyhappy:

If you bought the PS4 off Amazon, contact Amazon support first as you can probably get a replacement quicker :smileywink:

Just a heads up, unless there is massive amount of busted controllers going around, these is likely to be some sort of software issue. I have two controller that both are experiencing the exact same thing you are describing. I have posted on a few other threads where others are having the same problems. It makes games unplayable with the crappy response time followed by a disconnected controller. If I hear anything new I'll post back here

Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. Lol. See? I'll try and check back later. It seems to work better the closer the controller is to the system. Thx.

Mine was doing the same thing, disconnected the camera and restarted the PS4 and it seemed to been better. Started messing up again while playing Ghosts and it was my controller dieing. I have another controller that was charged so I switched over.

I blamed the PS4 camera for the disconnects but I could be wrong.
