Re: DUALSHOCK 4 issues

Nov 16, 2013

Same thing as Notorious.  I am having problems with both controllers I got (one bundled, the other from Amazon).  It's certainly possible we've gotten two bad ones, but I'm not optimistic.

Also, my controller doesn't perform any better when wired; has anyone who has otherwise been having these issues tried that?

Re: Controllers disconnecting!

Just adding my, "me too" in hopes of getting more attention for this issue.  Two controllers as well.  They don't perform any better when wired with the included sync cable either.

Doesn't matter if it's wired for me either. Even vita remote play doesn't work if I'm sitting more than 3 ft away from the console. Judson, test to see if the controller works accurately if you hold it extremely close to the system. I'm starting to think we have some ps4 with faulty blue tooth connections.

Yes, if I'm incredibly close it works fine.

Does being wired not actually supplant the Bluetooth connection for the transmission of input?  Does the cable only charge and provide initial sync?

Hi,

For some of you out there getting constant signal interruptions with the DS4, are there any other active bluetooth devices in the vicinity (headsets, keyboards, ps3 peripherals, etc)?

Thanks,

U--J

I have no active bluetooth. Quick question, and don't judge me, but would that include a wireless mouse and keyboard from a USB insert in my pc? Or even the Sony pulse headset with the wireless USB stick?

And Judson as far as I know, the cable only charges and provides initial connection. I think it still operates through bluetooth .

You can try powering off any other wireless devices to see if that helps your signal strength.  Let us know if it does or doesn't.

Thanks,

No Bluetooth devices.  My TV has a Bluetooth remote, so I took the batteries out.  No change.  Restarted and resync'ed the PS4 and the controller after killing remote.

Thanks for trying to help, U--J
