There is nothing to do with the connectivity problem, Sony never respond to any of this problems because they are so busy trying to count the money they get for selling bricks instead of gaming consoles...
If you have a faulty console, just return to the store you bought and get your money back, don't waste more money buying another controller, is clearly what the problem is not only in the DS4, and I don't believe what this problem can be solved with only a firmware update, because Sony is just ignoring the problem because is clearly a HARDWARE issue, and they have to replace all faulty consoles but right now there is no enough replacement consoles, so just get ripped of by Sony the next 3 or 4 months....
No hope for the poor Sony customers, the only way is raise your voice!!
I'm back to confirm that I went to the store and exchanged the controller I got with my console out for a DS4 on the shelf brought it home and it seems to be working fine. No more loss of response after 8 minutes been using it for about 45mins now with no problems.
I think I'm in the same boat as you guys. Here is what's happening with mine.
I have the latest firmware (1.51) installed on my unit. The issue with my conrollers is that "only one" controller will pair with unit at one time. Both controllers can pair with my PS4 fine, but not work at the same time.
====I've tried the following:
-re-syncing (both) controllers via the reset hole under the L2 trigger
-uninstalled "Warframe" (wouldn't hurt to try per someone's post in this thread)
-re-initialized the unit and reinstalled the firmware (fresh download of 1.51)
====what I haven't tried yet:
-replacing with a "new" controller from Gamestop (which I don't think it's the issue here...see below)
====What I found strange about this issue:
-Like I mentioned above, "only one" of the controllers will pair with my PS4.
-when I connected with one of the controllers, I decided to login as "GUEST" and it would work fine, but still the other controller would not connect. It would only connect when I log out as GUEST.
*****This is most likely a FIRMWARE ISSUE (with my unit of course).
####Anyone having the same issues a I am, please let me know if you found out a way and/or "workaround" to it
I am having the same problem
One controller connects fine then if you want to add a second player the other controller syncs up and the original controller turns off after it asks to sign in as a guest....
Strange this just happened to me i turned my ps4 a couple hours ago and it was working fine turned to off tired it again a couple hours later and i noticed when i hit the PS button my console didnt turn on just that light bar was blinking white wouldn't respond to anthing i was doing with it. It would go into charge mode though still wasnt working so i changed the charging cord turned off the ps4 noticed it was charging tired to turn it on again from the PS button now it seems to be working nice.
ill come back it something changes
I was having the same exact problem tonight. I actually figured it out! You have to create a new profile for whoever is trying to play alongside you. For example, you turn on your controller, and then click on your profile picture, then you connect the next controller and click on that person's (different) profile. If they don't have one, simply create one on the spot. No matter which profile that you're physically on when you enter the game, you will both be able to play. I'm guessing this was done so that every person is able to receive their own stats and trophies.
I replied to someone else, so I don't know if you'll receive that notification, so I'm sending it to you too. You select/create another profile (user) for each controller that you connect. If you try to connect two controllers to the same profile, it will not work. That is why whenever you connect another controller, it goes back into the login screen, where you are asked to pick the profile that you want to connect to.It doesn't matter what profile that you are on when you enter the game, each controller will be linked to the person's respective profile and you will all be able to play at the same time. I think that Sony did this so that each person gets his or her own separate stats and trophies. I actually really like the idea, though it was so annoying to figure out. This is such a simple answer to a seemingly complicated problem, I know, but I hope that word gets out about this so that people don't get as frustrated as I did!
