UPDATE: My friends headset is a G35 7.1 also and has firmware 0x0303, his works fine on my PS4 (1.61).
My headset also is a G35 7.1, but has firmware 0x0514 and my PS4 (1.61) doesn't detect mine.
So to all people, who may think it has something to do with 5.1 vs 7.1, it probably is the difference in firmware which makes it work on the PS4 or not.
The baddest part is still to come: I can't find a way to install older firmware on the G35, since logitech only provides the newest versions of software and no older softwares and firmwares. I tried installing older Logitech Gaming Softwares and then connecting my G35 to the PC and then to the PS4, but it didn't help. One of the older softwares I used was a software version of which I new someone had the right firmware working with, however when I checked my firmware with that Gaming Software it was still the same (newer) 0x0514.
So unless there is a way to install older firmware (for example 0x0303) on the G35 7.1, we will have to wait untill Sony makes it possible for the PS4 to detect newer G35 7.1 firmwares such as my 0x0514.
This is the important part what I got from Logitech:
"The firmware version cannot be changed on the G35 gaming headset. This headset is a pc headset and is not for the plastation 3 or 4."
I have the Logitech G35 5.1, the sound and mic works fine but the volume control on the left ear doesnt do anything. If I want to reduce/increase the volume I need to do it in the game options. Anyone know of a work around? It would be great if you could control volume via the dial on the left ear.
I had the g35 5.1 and it worked very well on my PS4 but it broked and I buy the new one the 7.1 and now reading the posts I discovered that it dosent work on my PS4...**bleep** anyone have news about it? still dosent work ??
Got the same problem with my headset, when I connect it to the PS4 it recognize it corretly, but the mic doesn't work. Plug it out and connect it to my PC and tested it with skype and everything works. Connect it again to the PS4 and everything worked well. After a week of using the headset quiet often, suddenly the mic was no longer recognized....AGAIN! Do the same as before, disconnect it form the PS4, connect with the PC (everything works fine *surprise*), connect back to the PS4 and it works well again. I have no idea why this happen and it's really annoying when you have to swap the from PS4 to PC and back...
