PS4 mic sensitivity issue

3 replies 1294 views Edited Nov 20, 2013
Has anyone found a way to combat this? I've tried hooking my Xbox chat headset( the one that comes with it) into the controller with a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter. Still very sensitive. Tried the Rocket Fish chat headset at Best But. No dice.

I use surround sound. So gaming headphones aren't an option I'm really interested in. I mean, my surround sound NEVER picked up any b/g noise on my 360.

Same here. I am using Turtle Beach PX4 with chat cable to controller.  Even a low breath with mic boom 6 inches away picks up.  The camera microphone is just as bad.   They need a MUTE option and a sensitivity setting badly.

I have the same issue with my Turtle Beach XP400's. With chat cable connected, everytime I press a button/stick or even tap my controller, the "chat" speaker shows up on screen, even though I haven't said a word. Can't wait for bluetooth update to get rid of this weird issue (btw I am using the official chat cable from TB)
