Regardless, if you're having such issues, you're still under warranty.
Just get it replaced if you can't find a fix.

Funny thing is I realize most people don't even read the instructions at all. For instance, I watched this Japanese kid on youtube, unbox his, made a video of it and he didn't even read anything or any instructions on how it works.
He literally sat there for a good couple minutes like an idiot because he couldn't turn it on then he couldn't swipe the screen fast enough so the screen kept turning off and he seemed confused, so he had to edit the video to cut out the stupidity of all that.
Not saying that is your problem but it definetely helps to read the manual with something you buy, the Vita's manual is not that big at all anyway.
Either way you just got it, it has a warranty and even if it didn't you could always buy the protection plan. All is not lost, you just might have to wait to enjoy your Vita.

So true, i read most manuals because i find them to be useful tools. A shame most people don't bother with them.
