Ah, thanks for answering that Guen. I too was wondering why they didn't have that in Going Commando. It would have made the game a lot easier, had they put that feature in, because, I don't know why, but most people, that I know, who have played the game complain that Ratchet runs too slow. I find that very annoying too.

Precisely. Infact hovering is slower than ratchet running so that's not even an argument. Wish we still had powerslam though. That was fun.

actually, i think ratchet moved a little faster when he was hovering.

i found this out when i was fight drek. you know when he fires all those missles, well when i ran, i got hit. but i didn't really get hit when i hovered and moved.

     Just for the record, Ratchet running and Ratchet using the hover feature are both the same speed.  Ratchet travels the same speed both ways.

The hover? What's so great about the hover? In the 30 or so times I beat R&C 1, I never used the hover.

Why hover when you can strafe? The whole point of the hover was basically the ability to strafe in R&C1; however, the strafe in R&C1 was sluggish and basically useless, at least to me.
