Any RPG's for ps3 that are like Fable?

15 replies 2506 views Edited Jan 29, 2013

That was a good game so that's why I ask this question. Anyone who played the fable games know of any rpg's on ps3 that remind you of it in terms of gameplay or graghics?

You might want to check out Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning

((btw, I hated the fable series))

I've played the first Fable back when it first launched. Being a pretty good game too, I was hoping to play the second one... but that never came to pass. Unfortunately, however, nothing specific comes to mind in the realm of PlayStation gaming as per character customization and a karma system. Oh, there's MMORPGs such as Free Realms and DC Universe Online where you can tailor your character, but I'm not sure if those games hold any other similarities to the likes of Fable. That is to say I'm sure DC Universe does, as you can either side with the heroes or villains.

I loved Fable 2....not so much the first one. Nothing comes to mind. Maybe something like Deathspank lol. Not nearly as good as Fable and much shorter, but very fun and funny.

Skyrim's about the closest thing you'll prob. find, it's not really like fable but has the witchcraft/ wizadry, bow&arrows, swords and medieval theme. you fight dragons explore caves and dungeons and think "i'm never gonna get done w/ this"

I don’t know of any PlayStation 3 video games that are reminiscent of Fable, Fable II, or Fable III. Someone once recommended White Knight Chronicles (another role-playing game) to me after I asked him that very same question but I have yet to play through this video game.

White Knight Chronicles is nothing like Fable. Its more like the close cousin of Final Fantasy

Well that's ok then because I also liked the final fantasy games. WKC reminds me of FF12 but with a lot better graphics.

WKC is like FF11 except that your character can only have one focus, as opposed to 7 level 99 jobs if you please. The partying system reminds me of old school 11, where teamwork was important, and is a reason I am looking forawrd to it as well.

Unfortunately, my back catalog of gaming has been paramount, and these next couple of months will do nothing to aleiviate the pain of taking on such tumultous tasks of maintaining so many games on my platinum roster.

good thing it's not 'all of them.' Good lord, what if I did get dead space?

Anyway, good gaming folks!
