What about combining them? I was reading somewhere that you can only combine them up to 300 and then from there you fill up all your weapon slots with them. When you use your weapon with them in it do they just automatically do their thing and help you to level up faster?

In Disgaea 4 they increased the number you can have on a weapon but off hand I am not sure of that number. You subdue them like any other Innocent. Once subdued you can move them to any weapon to get the added EXP then you will automatically get the EXP after a kill.
You can combine them like any other Innocent and having 300 will net you 300% more EXP from a kill. So if you have a low level character equip a weapon with Statisticians and they can gain lots of levels pretty fast.
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm on chater 10 now and all my characters are level 200. All I have to do is beat the game now and then I can start working on getting Statisticians. I have been reading about a duping glitch using reincarnation. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/disgaea-4/125743-

Let correct one small thing I wrote weapon but they can go on any item.
The dupe glitch should still work but they may patch it so do it quickly. Be sure to "try on and buy". Also if you reload the game the item is lost.

That does depend on the item. The thing you can do is get a low level item and put the Innocents you want to dupe in the item and then dupe it. You can transfer the Innocents to another item while equip/buying so something cheap with 4 slots is good or if you think you have enough HL you can use higher level items. I try for an item that has 5 slots and usually has buy back price of about 25000-75000 HL, that amount is no big deal really.
