On August 31, 2012 Sony Computer Entertainment America will be terminating the on-line service for the following PlayStation®2 and PlayStation®Portable ("PSP") software titles:

PlayStation®2 system: SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs, SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs, SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs, SOCOM Combined Assault.

PSP system:  SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 2, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike.

Could we still play the PSP games via ad hoc party?

Yes you can still play the game with ad hoc. You can try getting groups of people to use programs like Xlink kai and it be like playing online with no friends list, clan, and all community features like stats.

yep, s1 had a good run, dang u cheat devices and those who used them.

**bleep**, that sucks. Well, we all had a good run brothers. From SOCOM 1 in 2002 (released date: August 27) till now. I wished that I could play it all again but alas, I sold my PS2  .

This sucks.... So. What time are we expecting these servers to shut down? Midnight on the 31st? Or like late on the 31? I'd like to be on until the final moments.

Socom FTB3 has only been out for 2 yrs and it's being shutdown! I've only been playing for a year and am on level 3 online. Without online play, that means $40 just went down the drain. It's gonna be useless without online gaming. Can we get compensation or is Sony gonna leave all the Socom players disappointed?
