I hope not, I liked Heather's voice too much.

I can probably live with the Silent Hill 2 new voices

I am digging into my resources as we speak I should have more intel later on but so far they have been quiet on the Silent Hill 3 voices.

This is what I found from Tomm Hulett:

“We’re proud to announce that Silent Hill HD Collection will offer an option for original voices in Silent Hill 2.  This means fans and newcomers alike can experience the classic horror tale remastered with modern voice performances; as well as the original recordings from 2001.  Producer Devin Shatsky and I have been striving to make this a reality for some time, and it’s exciting to have created the definitive SH2 experience.  We would like to thank all of the original voice cast as well as Jeremy Blaustein, who were all instrumental in making this happen.  Unfortunately, due to factors both technical and logistical, Silent Hill 3 will be presented with new voices only.  Konami and Hijinx are working hard to make Silent Hill HD Collection a valued piece of Silent Hill history, and hope fans new and old look forward to its release in January.

yeah it has been kinda of dead in these woods. I've been away myself but I am happy that at least Silent Hill 2 is going to have the original voices. still dissappointed that three didn't  get it but at least they tried to please the fans?

I thoguht 2 was the one that didnt have the old ones.    still cant wait for this long awaited release.

Some articles I've read suggested they will both have the old voices, but I have only seen an official statement regarding the 2nd game (which also said 3 would not have them):

"We’re proud to announce that Silent Hill HD Collection will offer an option for original voices in Silent Hill 2...Silent Hill 3 will be presented with new voices only."

If I buy this, it'll be a used copy from the enemy, GameStop. I'm so upset about the voices, and even if the old voices are now an option, I'm still not giving any of my money to Konami. I mean, how dare they.

I’m sorry for not updating this thread in a long time. I have been having fun with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception since November 1st, 2011. Anyway, I have made some subtle updates to this thread (see the original post).

Hopefully there will be more information released for the Silent Hill HD Collection before its release date but if there isn’t then check out the collection and use this thread as a discussion thread for it if you like.

The Silent Hill HD Collection should be available in North America on March 6th, 2012.
