Alex Rodriguez benched throughout ALCS

8 replies 216 views Edited Oct 17, 2012

What are your thoughts on this? I think it's crazy. Robinson Cano set a post season record by goinig 0-29 before getting a single hit last night. He has a total of three hits in the postseason. The whole Yankees lineup has been anemic. Granderson, Texeira, Cano, Martin, Gardner. So they're going to take ARod out and put in Eric Chavez. He's 0-14 with 6Ks.

I don't even like ARod. But seeing how much blame he's getting makes me a bit mad. I feel a little sad for him.

He is easy to blame. Nobody is going to criticize you for benching him so you can get away with it.

Also hitting on chicks during playoff games probably isnt helping.

ARod's an easy scapegoat for his history of postseason struggles. It isn't right to place all the blame on him though. Rumors are the Yankees are talking about trading him to Florida.

yeah I heard something like ARod for Stanton. They would pay all of ARod's salary. Even if they did that, bad deal for Miami. Poor ARod.

What poor A-rod?

I don't understand this pity for a man with hundreds of millions of dollars and supermodel girlfriends who has a centaur painting of himself and happens to be 37-years-old and is playing like he's 37 because he's not getting the benefit of steroids anymore.

I'm being sarcastic, but I think it's ridiculous how much flak he is getting while the rest of the Yankee lineup is doing worse than him. Cano set a record he was so bad.

Rodriguez has always been the scapegoat in New York. For some reason, his postseason numbers are simply terrible sans 2004 and 2009.
