Re: San Francisco 49ers vs Baltimore Ravens

The Patriots-Rams Super Bowl was a major part of the scandal, because of a report that the Patriots taped the Rams' walk-through practice on the Friday before the game.

The report was retracted because it turned out to be false. I can't find the originaly apology letter on the Boston Herald's website, but it's visible here - http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/boston-herald-spygate-story-false-apologizes-article-1.32...

Faulk added more fuel to the old controversy by telling Curran that the Patriots were ready for plays that the Rams had never run in the red zone before – plays Faulk said were only practiced at that walk-through.

"Any time that I was offset, I was always stationary," Faulk told ComcastSportsnet. "And we had (created) motioning in the backfield at the same depth on the other side of the field. And they created a check for it. It's just little things like that.
"It's either the best coaching in the world when you come up with situations that you had never seen before. Or you'd seen it and knew what to do."

The Rams had reached the redzone once that entire game. And because the Patriots reacted well to plays the Rams never used in an actual game before, it's cheating? That's already a lame excuse because the "videotaped walkthrough" never occurred.

i wish i could link you to jimmy johnson talking about how when he watched a bills interview that he noticed in the background jim kelly and thurman thomas (i think that's who it was) practicing.... what was it... a flea flicker or something that they never ever ever done before. so the second jimmy spotted that he went to this defensive coach and said watch out of this, design a play for this and inform the players.

they ran the play twice... one for a fumble and the other for a huge loss.

just goes to show just how great of an impact it has when you know exactly what the other team is doing before the game.

it goes deeper than that.... they recorded tendancies, play calls, situational moments... a team wont need to learn the signals if they know exactly what's happening when the team lines up on D or offense.  if its 3rd and 4th, they have a good idea what that team can and will run.  if its 3rd and 2 in the 3rd Q, a team might do something different than if it was 3rd and 2 in the 4th Q.  they had a library.... a freaking library... just imagine how much information they truly had on the entire NFL.

Tendencies, play calls, and situational moments? Could that be anymore vague? That stuff is all readily available on our TV broadcast anyway. The rest of your statement is literally what scouts are paid to do. They collect information about what plays opposing teams like to run in certain situations.

And also, it's legal to videotape opposing coaches and players. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to watch the game on TV. The Pats got busted filming from an undesignated location on the sidelines.

But I just proved there's no evidence of the Pats filming walkthroughs...

And Jimmy Johnson did the same thing as Belichick.

I honestly don't care who wins, I don't have anything against either team. At this point I'm leaning toward the 49ers I guess, I like Kaepernick

We're just having a friendly debate. I don't think I've said anything nonsensical; I've used facts for the most part.

This could be a  good game or a really boring game. Also if I hear Lewis praise God one more time...
