I thought Republic Commando was one of the best Star wars games out there. I rented it on Xbox last gen and recently bought it on Steam. It was even more fun than I remembered, I have yet to see a game that has the same quality A.I. for your allies as that game did.

A very good Star Wars game is The Forces Unleashed. I have it for Nintendo Wii but I think that the PS3 version is also very playable. Despite Forces Unleashed has a very simple story and simple graphics, the concept design is absolutely excellent making of the game nothing more than pure fun. The main male heroic character Galen Marek and the attractive blonde pilot Juno Elipse are very well developed along with a very good and credible story plot. It seems that George Lucas approved this specific game more than others because it followed more the main story line of the Star Wars saga. The sales of this game were excellent despite the fact that people prefer to go to the theater to see a Star Wars movie than to play Star Wars games because Star Wars has become the most powerful futuristic icon in history.

It's a fun game. I'd recommend looking for the Expansion pack along with it. "Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Coruption" it adds another whole faction.
