I'd imagine that you can can slide, angle sharply away and accelerate on the SW to organically scrub a missile. I use it to outmaneuver hawks currently. Over all, just be smart and use the terrain Smiley Happy

That IS what the notes say.  Every time LightBox has spoken about "scrubbing", they mean a canned dodge.  They specifically implied that you could still use the terrain and your driving skills to dodge.

I am certainly looking forward to it.  There is currently almost no way to get certain people off their Sidewinders unless the drive straight at you while you're aiming a MAW at them.  This will get them to get off.  From trying to aim at CAF pilots with the MAW, I suspect it will still be kinda difficult to get a lock.

To be honest, I think people will just start using the Razorback now, which is worse when it comes to roadkills lol.

Sidewinder speed needs a slight boost, because unless you're using Engine Mods (which still isn't super fast) it can be too easy to hit.

You can't defend yourself while on a Sidewinder unless you stop, hold L1 to aim, and then try to fire.

I don't think you guys are considering the amount of terrain variables to make getting away on a sidewinder still viable.  The only thing this will stop is people driving straight from the flag to home base.  It'll make you take the "scenic route".

I just wonder if a stationary sidewinder will still be lockonable. Gone will be the days of stopping to shoot something or someone.

I hadn't thought of that.  I figure it'll be like a Hawk in mech form.

yes, they said you can lock on to the heat signature of the sidewinder. whatever this means. it would be cool if you cannot lock on too sidewinders which stands still. because there is no heat (or burst).

otherwise, i think it is REALLY REALLY cool that you can lock on sidewinders. there will be so much more intense battle on the ground. it will be like with the jetpacks, if you force him to go down you have a better chance to fight him. now if you force someone to jump from his bike you will force him to build a new one or a wall for cover.

plus, the Razorback gets better and better the more you nerf the other vehicles Smiley Happy

To be honest, I welcome the lock-on. gone will be the days flag runners get away because of Sidewinders.

Oh and the Razorback will be used more, and more Smiley Happy
