When building an item you should have a 30 sec hold on a build limit slot 1-32. So that when you are positioning your item someone doesn't quickly build before you, especially useful when invading a base when the build limit is at 31 and miss out on spawn beacon.

I've had that happen (trying to build something only to have someone else build for the last item on me before I place it) a few times.  

This would be ok to have I think.

I don't think this would work. I know I often fly or drive with a bonbon structure ready to drop, people would start "reserving" structures.

Yea... this is a public server issue. as are host kick abuse. Before this is done, the kicks should be curbed.

lol, yesterday in balls' welding torch game, a clanmate of mine got the boot from my teammate who was a host, so i destriyed all our team's structures and built 32 walls.

Yeah but it would only be a short hold and after the time it's fair game.

Actually, while doijg this yesterday, i noticed there was a hold before i was allowed to build another structure.
