Backwards flight in CAF and a little demo at dodging

The first part is a demo in why you never follow a CAF pilot close up!

For the people wanting to get into flight the second part shows you the movement you should be making in order to consistently dodge homers in CAF. There's many opinions and methods but a simple spin to win will not get you anywhere. You need to be able to refill ammo and health at the same time as dodging. Notice I keep a straight line but yet I'm still in full dodge....would have been better but I was standing :smileyhappy: Funny part is the AF dodge is almost exactly the same in look but not buttons. Take note of the amount of brake and speed I'm using as it's critical.

Also this movement will work for everything but flak. As bus always says ALTITUDE! If you're engaged in a DF this movement is what you need to be doing as you break off from the fight to refill ammo/health but it WON'T help you during the fight itself. That's another thing for another time. Start with dodging.

[ Edited ]

The best way to dodge in either flight mode is

hit the ps button

select turn system off

hit x.

This will scrub homers, swarms AND FLAK.  :smileytongue:

Or hit the PS button
Select quit game
And insert Leisure Suit Larry.

You'll dodge everything and everyone playing that and have fun doing it!

Well, that explains how I'm homered by the person I'm chasing while locking my own homer onto him

you can't backwards lock you can only side lock. But there is a trick were you can start locking on a split second faster when you turn back to face someone chasing you.

CAF is just pathetic.

A chimpanzee could fly it.

@enthusiast Always gotta be one that pulls out the my *blank is bigger than yours huh?
You probably would own me. Don't care. If you think this is how I fly all the time or how I DF then you clearly missed the point. I'm open to a good 1v1 from anyone regardless of me getting owned or not so save it for the air.

@esc As Arvada said you can't homer lock backwards but flak is another story. I should have specified

@Amnesia It shows you're not a CAF pilot or you'd know what I'm doing there isn't easy. It takes a hell of a lot of control. Took me months to get it down.

This isn't a lets all shiet on CAF thread. Its to give ground guys who want to learn flight an idea of what to look out for and what to do. I'm more interested in moving the community foward then sitting back while I play COD and watch it burn.....no offense Arvada lol
