Freezing issues

10 replies 206 views Edited May 9, 2012

Has anyone come across the game freezing up during the loading screens?

It's happened twice now in less than 45 minutes of playtime when it's loading a map online.

This happen to five times last night, and I think this is going to lead to my hard drive getting corrupted. It has froze when accessing the disc for loads or hard drive for saves.

put the disc in for the first time in a couple weeks, hard freeze within 30 seconds of getting in a hawk.  this will be the last santa monica studio game I buy.  the game is less than a year old and they can't be bothered to fix and maintain the servers, they suck.

I'm finally done w/ starhawk.

Hard freezes are caused by no-life hackers who overload whatever server they are in purely to crash everyone's game/PS3. Apparently due to TOS I am not allowed to name these accounts so continue to suffer I guess. This has been going on for about 2 weeks, and has nothing to do with the servers themselves.

If you get kicked back to XMB (no PS3 reset, just XMB) while in a hawk-> Genuine glitch in the server coding.

If your game disconnects while loading (no boot to XMB, no ps3 reset)-> Genuine glitch in server coding.

^ both are fairly rare.

If your PS3 goes through a hard freeze for any reason (Screen freezes, PS3 resets, formatting/scanning happens when you turn it on)-> morons deliberately crashing servers with alt accounts.
