You wouldn't even survive with Skyrim.
OH crap, Skyrim on the PS3...
one of the most unstable console games I've ever played. It felt like I was trying to PC game in windows 95.
Crash, crash crash, over and over and over again. you had to take the auto-saving off to reduce crashes at load screens.
Not to mention all the OTHER issues.
Starhawk is a dream compared to Skyrim.
My ps3 freezes lots when I build in lbp 2. Btw, i am now a sackboy!
My older fatty PS3 did too during creation mode on LBP2 till it's YLOD. The older model PS3's did run very hot, so heat likely did play some part in that.
I got my disk back from Sony and a rebuilt PS3 "twice".
As to Phoenix's comments about hard freezes not a cause of PS3 troubles I beg to differ.
Perhaps she has just been lucky so far but hard booting any system repeatedly can't be good for it.
And it at the very least, doesn't make for an enjoyable game play experience when it is such a constant problem.
Many of my best rounds died an untimely death and loss due to game freezes and XMB kicks.
If this is a hardware and/or system stability issue Sony should address it but no other game I own has ever crashed my system like Starhawk, so I will continue to call the game out for it.
Starhawk: more than a 100 crashes to date since launch.
All other times games I have owned since the PS3 was released that has caused my system to crash: combined around a dozen or two.
I have hundreds of more hours playing other games than Starhawk and hardly ever had them crash, including true betas, so the math doesn't look good for Starhawk.
I get that loud noise as well dream! I thought it was only me.
I appreciate the support everyone and this problem has been solved thanks to a good friend on here that's sending me another PS. Like I said in the op regardless of your issues in game MOST of the people here make your Starhawk experience a good one!
With that being said I HOPE LBI will take a serious look, if I could I'd underline serious, at what issues this game has and is causing. If it wasn't for a friend you would have lost a true fan and if nothings done you'll continue to lose those who are dedicated and those who continue to pad your bottom line.
glad to hear you'll still be here
and yea, I get that noise too.
