If your mic/headset is wireless it could be messing up with dem der connectionional waves that transmit from dat dur router to dat dur ps3.

So its not just SH but also LBP messing with you? Its not the headset man something bad is probably going on with the PSN or on your end if its multiple titles.
If I was having those problems right now I'd shut my PS3 off, unplug my router/modem for a bit, then plug them back in and try again! If that doesn't make things better, well, then report back and one of us here will figure out something else for you to try!

which headset do you have? how is your PS3 connected to the internet (router, wireless router, direct to modem)?

if it's a wireless headset then that can definately be the cause. My buddy had the same problem, couldn't connect to anything after getting his new headset. Had to buy a new one and just like dat he was merkin on noobs and nooblets all across the world.
