A previous poster stated how balanced the Beta was.  I had to post to say the Beta of this game was the best/funnest game I had played in a LONG time.  I bought this game based on the Beta and realized that I was lied to.  The Beta was a lie, we weren't testing the game, we were being setup.

 

They made very minute changes in the Beta and the biggest thing back then was the Vulture Jetpack fuel/recharge time, it was almost controversial.  The hawk was great back then, the homer was basically a mini-cluster bomb and you could defend yourself against them much better.  There was no need for tanks because we had razorbacks.

 

I know we can play classic Beta, but you really can't because it's not classic, nor is it Beta.  I platted this game then stopped.  Was convinced by a clan member to play it after the 1.03 patch and I like it enough to continue playing (at least I have a reason to since they added "prestige" levels).

 

It's just amazing to me that a company can produce something so fun as the Starhawk Beta then literally take a huge dump on it and drop in untested overpowered weapons and vehicles. 

 

I will always remember the Beta as one of the best games I've played, the Starhawk release isn't even a shadow of it's formal self.

 

I agree with all these changes, I think the torpedo should be a game changer and obliterate everything with an increased respawn time and I think the ground should have a EMP that can be used, course I'm not going into how I think that should work because it simply won't exist.

You realize how viciously the SHnoobfanbois will argue the Torpedo shouldn't even be in the game, much less be a true Hand of God weapon like it was in the Beta?

 

Hell, I can't even convince them we need the SH equivalent of the Binocs.

I don't have a problem with the torpedo being powerful, but the problem is, there is currently no counter/defense to it, which allows one person in a hawk who's good enough to shoot down the enemy hawks to dominate their base without contest.  I think the shield should be the one thing that stops a torpedo blast, at the cost of losing the shield for a period of time.

Nice pics and well thought out delivery.

 

I like the game as is, but cant argue against most of your points as they are all sound and would likely improve the game.

 

Have a kudo for possessing the ability to look at something and coming up with original ideas to help improve it.

Most here just say make it like game X, giving no backing to their biased opinions.
