I think the result would have still been the same. What could have changed Starhawk's fate was if LBI took more time on it, perhaps delayed it a few months, and managed to add troop DM, better balancing, and have Cyprus already inclulded, as well as better quality overall, and no XMB kicks.
That, on top of an aggressive marketing campaign, could have worked.
