I know what you are talking about. I am on my third ps3 and what you described is exactly what happened to mine both times. The first time I was playing metal gear solid 4 and the second time it was uncharted 3. What pisses me off is that sony points the finger at the devs and the devs point the finger at sony. They will never do anything about it because they dont care about us, they just ignore it as though it doesnt happen, or they say its our fault,that we must have done something to it. Well I can tell you pieces of sh#t that its not something I did because I just got my ps3 back from repair and it has allready crashes several times with starhawk and other games as well.

Why is it so hard to believe that its sony and the devs , not the customers and no its not my internet connection. If starhawk kills my system I will be turning in my sony fanboy card because life is too short and it isnt worth all of the anger and stress that it causes me, wow, I never thought I would ever say that.

I had a freeze leading to corrupted data... did not enjoy that

major bummer that this issue is still happening... I waited so long to pick this game up because I was worried about situations exactly like that

Well I'm left without a system and people just want to use the excuse that I have an old system, and that's why it died even without any prior problems. People need to realize that constant glitches, lock-ups/freezing, and game booting can lead to corrupted data, corrupted hard drive, disc-read errors or ultimately system breakdown.

It takes a toll regardless of a new or old system and I've seen it happen on slims as well as fat models. This just resulted in a major headache for me and it's baffling how this game still has some of the same glitches from day 1. I think the beta period for the game should have went through the full game contents to really iron out issues before it went retail.
